Capcom not thinking about VR support for Resident Evil 2, here’s why

During this year’s E3 Daily Star spoke with Capcom producers Tsuyoshi Kanda and Yoshiaki Hirabayashi about Resident Evil 2’s remake.

Daily Star asked if the game will receive a VR support like Resident Evil 7 sometime in the future.

“We’re not thinking about VR support currently, given that the camera perspective and the over-the-shoulder choice would mean that VR is not the best way to present the game,” said Tsuyoshi Kanda. “VR doesn’t match the vision for us.”

During the same interview, the producers explained why they almost cut the giant alligator from the game, and why it was decided to keep it. You can find out more about that right here.

Resident Evil 2 is scheduled for release on January 25, 2019 for PS4, Xbox One, and Steam.
