Is Capcom hinting Resident Evil 3 Remake?

UPDATE: Capcom was definitely not hinting Resident Evil 3’s remake when it tweeted a picture of the Nemesis, with the caption, “We have our own relentless pursuer who just can't seem to die”.

Capcom’s community manager made it clear that “… it was just a friday the 13th pun” in a response sent to us on Twitter.

ORIGINAL STORY: On Friday, 13th, Capcom tweeted a picture of a cardboard cutout of Nemesis who first appeared in Resident Evil 3, causing fans to speculate whether the developer is hinting a remake is in the works.

It may seem a little far-fetched. But with the remake of Resident Evil 2 under way, and the game’s positive reception by fans and gamers in general, it’s likely that the developer has already begun work on Resident Evil 3’s remake.

Resident Evil 2’s Remake recently won its first award, the award for “Best of Show” from the Game Critics Awards: Best of E3 2018, and was nominated for two more, including “Best Console Game” and “Best Action/Adventure”. The game will be showcased again at Comic-Con in San Diego, which takes place from July 19-22. During the event, the developer will show “an exclusive” behind-the-scenes look at Leon, Claire, the Raccoon City outbreak, and “a few surprises”.
