Capcom to further explore the possibility of more remakes and re-releases

It looks like a remake of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis may not be that far in the future.

In its quarterly earnings call, Capcom revealed that it will further explore the possibility of remaking and re-releasing games in its back catalog.

“Further, regarding remakes and rereleases of titles in our back catalog, we expect to explore these further with a variety of properties as a part of our strategy to utilize our library of IP,” said the publisher.

Capcom also revealed Resident Evil 2‘s remake is expected to be in the “million-seller class of titles”. The publisher recently revealed it has “high expectations” for Resident Evil 2 Remake & other major titles with net sales having gone up 46.5% (!) and operating income 550.8% (!!) making this quarter the best the company has ever had.
